Creative Connections — Exhibition

Creative Connections is the Crafts Council Ballarat’s annual exhibition, showcasing the diverse talents and creative practices of our members.

Traditionally held over the King’s Birthday long weekend in June, the exhibition has now moved to the September Grand Final long weekend, providing a new opportunity for visitors to enjoy this popular annual event.

The exhibition celebrates the variety of work created by Crafts Council members. While the Adam Lindsay Gordon Craft Cottage offers an ever-changing selection of handcrafted work throughout the year, Creative Connections gives members the opportunity to exhibit their work in the distinctive setting of the Ballarat Botanical Gardens Conservatory.

The Conservatory, which houses seasonal botanical displays throughout the year, provides a very different exhibition environment to the Cottage. The space allows members to explore new ways of presenting their work and to exhibit pieces and variations that may not normally be seen at the Cottage.

Surrounded by the Conservatory's seasonal displays, visitors can discover a diverse range of handcrafted work reflecting the many creative practices of Crafts Council Ballarat members.

Visitors are invited to enjoy the exhibition, explore the beautiful Conservatory and discover the work of our local makers.
